Evaluating a collaborative early years project

The Creche and Kindergarten Association (C&K) ran a pilot project in partnership with Montrose Therapy to provide additional support to children with developmental and learning needs.   Outpost Consulting was commissioned to evaluate the project.

Working with Young Futures, we took a participatory action research approach to support the pilot over its 18-month timeline. Qualitative and quantitative data collection included professional diary reflections, activity data, surveys and interviews with parents and professionals and focus groups with professionals.

We provided advice on success factors to guide future work using a partnership approach for families that needed extra support. We also proposed service models to consider adopting in the emerging NDIS environment.
